Director, screenwriter, playwright

Tymofii is a director, screenwriter, and playwright from Kharkiv. In 2022, he became a laureate of the scholarship of the President of Ukraine for young artists in the cinema field. He was also an expert in the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation audiovisual sector. In the last days before the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, he shot the short film “Frontier”, which was selected for several film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival. He is the author of the project “There are no indifferent people here”, where top Ukrainian actors read anti-war and dystopian prose and poetry. Facebook

Take risks. Where you're uncomfortable, that's exactly where you need to go and do something about it. It works.

Courage, like modesty, probably doesn't exist. Regarding courage – everyone is scared, the question is just whether you can control it; regarding modesty, the situation is similar – if you're aware of your achievements, there's no point in flaunting them, thus you're in control of yourself.

It's hard to predict who will influence you. Essentially – it could be anyone. You always need to think about what you can take for yourself from any interaction or meeting. I believe that you should be your own greatest authority, one that you continuously build yourself.
