Іgor is a Ukrainian scientist specializing in environmental mathematical modeling. He develops models to predict pollution in coastal zones of seas and oceans. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led a working group of the National Academy of Sciences for mathematical modeling of the epidemic's spread. After the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station, Igor focused on flood forecasting and modeling scenarios for dam failures on the Dnipro River. He collaborates with the IAEA and Horizon 2020 on nuclear safety and climate change issues.
