Viktor is a biochemist and biotechnologist, Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD equivalent), and Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. His research focuses on the mechanisms of phytoremediation and on the biochemical, physiological, and molecular adaptations of plants to biotic and abiotic toxic stress factors. Within the framework of applied research, he develops and optimizes in vitro micropropagation protocols for energy and industrial crops, including paulownia, miscanthus, and Jerusalem artichoke.
