I sincerely believe that having gone through all the stages of transformation, having survived shelling, power and water outages, science in Ukraine will become better.
One should not conform to societal opinion and not try to please everyone. Life is too short to follow someone else's dreams.
My greatest fear is that the language of science will turn into 'Latin' – a dead language of deep old men. Every year, the average age of scientists gets higher, and fewer young people choose a scientific future for themselves.
Parents must give their child the two most important things: health and education.
Each article for me is like a complex thriller blockbuster, where the characters are arrays of various data, which at first glance do not agree with each other.
If I had a time machine, I would like to meet Kostiantyn Danylievskyi from Kharkiv. He was the first in the world to develop a hydrogen dirigible powered by bicycle pedals, which moved controllably, took off and landed without accidents.
Silence and solitude help make the most difficult decisions.
I am incredibly delighted when I manage to find that golden thread that connects disparate facts together and allows us to discover a new pattern or a new lever to influence material properties.
I am irritated by the imitation of scientific activity, the 'pouring from the empty into the void' in scientific reports and articles, 'fitting' experimental data to the expected result.
Scientific work requires maximum engagement and one hundred percent dedication.
